About the Role
They are seeking a Senior Project Engineer with proven experience delivering major water infrastructure projects, including water treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, and other technically complex civil works.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong commercial and contractual acumen, experience pricing and securing work, and the ability to develop and manage project programmes and construction methodologies.

You will play a key role in leading project teams to deliver works safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Price work, contribute to tenders, and support procurement activities
• Oversee all technical aspects of projects from initiation to completion
• Develop and implement methodology statements for project delivery
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and design documentation
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines to achieve delivery targets
• Identify, assess, and resolve technical issues and risks
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards on site
• Maintain accurate project records, reports, and documentation

What we’re looking for:

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
• A minimum of 10 years’ NZ experience working on civil structures projects
• A solution focused attitude with the ability to build sound working relationships
• NZ work rights and work experience are essential
