Senior Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering projects from planning, installation and trial run through to mass production.
• Develop project schedules, monitor progress and ensure timely completion of project milestones.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, NPI, Manufacturing and external suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
• Lead equipment, tooling and production line installation, setup and commissioning activities.
• Identify and resolve technical, process and production issues during project implementation.
• Monitor project cost, manpower, resources and overall project performance.
• Prepare project reports, technical documentation and progress presentations.
• Drive continuous improvement and process optimization to achieve productivity, quality and cost targets.
• Lead project meetings and follow up on corrective actions.
• Ensure all projects comply with safety, quality and company requirements.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or project engineering.
• Experience in project management, equipment installation, production line setup or process improvement.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and project management skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills; proficiency in Chinese language is preferred.
• Willing to travel to China when required; experience in connector/semiconductor manufacturing is an advantage.
