Senior Project Engineer

Civil engineering position (8-15 yrs experience) with engineering firm in Fort Lupton, Colorado area. Civil engineering work relating to construction, design, and operation of public and private projects. Engineering services include feasibility studies, reports, funding investigations, economic analysis, permitting, design, construction drawings and specifications, opinions of probable construction cost, scheduling, construction administration, and quality control.

Broad range of involvement will be expected in all areas of engineering services. Work variety includes water resources engineering (raw water pipelines/pump stations / reservoirs), owner’s representative services, municipal engineering (roadway, water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer), aggregate mine development/permitting (slurry wall design, below grade reservoirs), GIS, etc. Ability to do tasks associated with the computer skills below as well as coordinating work with other staff and providing direction to complete project tasks as well as reporting to the principal in charge.

Education

Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Civil or similar engineering field or experience in the consulting engineer or construction field.

Licenses and Registrations

P.E. or E.I. preferred

Qualifications

Computer skills – Proficient using Microsoft Word and Excel, Microsoft Project, other scheduling software.

Highly experienced user of AutoCAD, with civil design software Civil 3D.

Highly experienced at GIS using ArcGIS Pro and/or AutoCAD Map.

Highly experienced in Hydrology & Hydraulics using HEC programs, StormCAD, EPA SWMM, CUHP, InfoWater Pro, etc.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentation.

Working Environment

Company with great office atmosphere. Professional firm that encourages development of employees and continuing education. Hours vary based on job needs, but office hours are generally 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional evening meetings, travel, and some overnight stays will be required if working on projects outside of the immediate area.

Salary

Salary will be based on experience ranging from $90k to $130k.
