Senior Project Engineer

• 8:6 roster | FIFO from Perth
• Fortnightly pay, quarterly STI + Top tier health insurance
• Lead underground infrastructure projects at Jundee

Northern Star Resources currently has an opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join the team at our Jundee Operation, working an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster from Perth.

Reporting to the Alternate Underground Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of underground infrastructure projects, including contractor management, to support the Underground Mining Department in achieving its short and long term production and cost objectives.

What you can look forward to:

• Provide project management on key projects through all project phases including feasibility, design, planning, permitting, procurement, execution, commissioning and optimisation.
• Management of contractors and contractor performance for infrastructure projects.
• Provide engineering advice and support to Management and peers.
• Assist with identification of project resourcing requirements, budgeting and scheduling for the purpose of capital allocations within annual budgets.
• Generate capital expenditure requests for technical and commercial corporate approval.

Where you'll add value:

• Demonstrated underground mining operational experience in a hard rock environment, including ventilation engineering.
• Proven experience delivering mining projects within an operational environment.
• Experience in mine design and planning and mine infrastructure procurement, construction, commissioning and optimisation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across operations, contractors and project teams.
• Experience in asset management systems.
• Experience in developing capital budgets for projects.
• Proficiency with Deswik CAD, UGDB and Ventsim.
• Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.

Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering
• Ventilation Officer Underground Metalliferous Competency
• Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
