Senior Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Work with project team and involved in procurement, construction, commissioning etc.

• Manage project execution at site for Mechanical or Electrical distribution system, HVAC, cleanroom, process utility system etc.

• Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved specifications, procedures and requirements.

• Liaise with client, consultant, sub-contractor, and relevant authorities to resolve technical issues.

• Monitor site progress, quality and compliance with approved drawings, specifications and schedule.

• Participate in site, coordination, design review and toolbox meetings.

• Prepare RFIs, technical submissions, inspection requests and project documentation.

• Coordinate testing, commissioning, rectification and system handover.

• Maintain as-built drawings, T&C records, O&M manuals and handover documentation.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Min 5 years’ experience in M&E project engineering, preferably in cleanroom, factory, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, manufacturing or data centre projects.
• Strong HVAC experience preferred; exposure to ELV, BMS, Fire Protection/Firefighting and Process Utilities is an advantage.
• Experience in site execution, M&E coordination, subcontractor coordination, testing and commissioning.
• Good understanding of M&E drawings, specifications and construction practices.
• Strong technical coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and relevant engineering software.
• Able to work independently under tight project schedules and site conditions.

Project Manager/M&E Lead

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships, addressing concerns, and providing regular updates to ensure client satisfaction
• Lead the technical and project teams from the award of a contract to ensure proper project execution
• Manage EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), design, construction management, and design-build projects
• Resolve project-related issues with various stakeholders, including system owners, area owners, tools owners, consultants, and relevant authorities
• Ensure compliance with relevant government laws, regulations, acts, and company business ethical standards
• Plan and prepare project schedules, ensuring timely project handover
• Manage the overall execution of contracts, including project profit and loss commitments through effective cost control and schedule management
• Attend and contribute to various meetings, such as commercial, design, technical, internal, and site meetings
• Ensure adherence to government Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations (DOSH) and compliance with clean room protocols

Requirement:

• Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• At least 10 years of experience in construction operations, with a focus on building and construction works, HVAC, cleanroom, and process utility systems for industrial projects
• Strong knowledge of project management in industrial projects
• Experience in the semiconductor industry is advantageous
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and verbal
