Senior Project Executive / Assistant Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Executive / Assistant Project Manager to lead and oversee our project initiatives, ensuring effective coordination between stakeholders and development teams. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring projects, ensuring they align with business objectives and are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, strategic thinking, and excellent organization and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

What you’ll do

• Manage end-to-end project delivery and supervise each stage of the project lifecycle.
• Drive and implement necessary standards and best practices for project management, including methodology and tools.
• Prepare business requirements and functional specification documents, and manage project scope.
• Plan and monitor project timelines, manage resources, and ensure alignment with business unit strategies.
• Work closely with business analysts and product owners to ensure project outcomes meet business requirements.
• Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and make recommendations to stakeholders.
• Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders to balance objectives, changes, and governance.
• Liaise with vendors and partners, managing its schedule and risk to ensure project delivery.
• Coach, mentor, and supervise project team members or juniors, influencing them to take positive action and accountability.
• Drive or assist in establishing company project governance frameworks with SOPs to improve efficiency and cross-team collaboration.
• Support Senior Project Manager in managing project portfolio and roadmap
• Prepare benefits monitoring and reporting as required.
• Facilitate lessons learned sharing and best practice dissemination.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 6-7 years' experience in project management or related roles.
• Solid experience in sizeable IT project implementations.
• Well-versed in software lifecycle, primarily Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Practical experience in requirements analysis, design, and testing of scalable, distributed web applications.
• Strong organizational, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, able to multitask in dynamic environments.
• Proficiency in project management tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Proficiency in both Chinese and English (written and spoken).
• Preferred: PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, PgMP, PfMP, or other relevant project management certifications.
• Experience in PMO environment with understanding of organizational change management principles is highly desirable.
• Less experienced candidates will be considered for Senior Project Executive.
