SENIOR PROJECT EXECUTIVE

About the role

N.I. Interior Design & Furniture Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Project Executive to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position based in Seri Kembangan, Selangor. As Senior Project Executive, you will take a leading role in managing complex interior design and furniture projects from conception through to completion. You will be responsible for overseeing project timelines, budgets, client relationships and team coordination, ensuring that each project is delivered to the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction. This role is crucial to our continued success and growth in the competitive interior design industry.

Key responsibilities

• Managing and overseeing all aspects of interior design and furniture projects, including planning, execution and delivery
• Coordinating with clients to understand project requirements, objectives and timelines, and providing regular updates on project progress
• Preparing and maintaining detailed project documentation, including specifications, drawings, budgets and schedules
• Liaising with designers, suppliers, contractors and subcontractors to ensure seamless project implementation
• Monitoring project budgets and expenditures to ensure costs remain within approved parameters
• Quality assurance and inspections throughout all project stages to maintain design integrity and client expectations
• Managing project timelines and identifying potential delays or risks, implementing corrective actions as needed
• Supervising and mentoring junior project staff and providing guidance on best practices and project procedures
• Addressing and resolving project issues, conflicts and client concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Preparing project reports and delivering presentations to clients and senior management

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in interior design project management or a similar role within the design and architecture industry
• Strong knowledge of interior design principles, materials, furniture specifications and current design trends
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Proven experience in budget management, cost control and financial planning
• Advanced proficiency in relevant design software and project management tools (e.g. AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft Project)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and clients
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results
• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure
• Leadership qualities with experience supervising and developing team members
• Professional qualification or certification in project management, interior design or related field is preferred
• Proficiency in both English and Malay is an advantage
