Role Summary

Following a recent Solution Assessment and Optimization Review, the airline is seeking an experienced Project Manager / PMO Lead to drive the implementation of the recommendations identified during the assessment.

The successful candidate will act as the central coordination point between business stakeholders, operational teams, IT teams, and Airline Client. The role will be responsible for establishing governance, driving execution, monitoring progress, managing priorities, and ensuring that the expected business value from the assessment is delivered.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Governance & PMO Leadership

• Establish and manage the overall implementation roadmap for the approved recommendations.
• Define governance structures, forums, steering committees, project reviews, and reporting frameworks.
• Maintain integrated project plans covering all workstreams.
• Track milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and decisions.
• Produce executive-level status reports and progress dashboards.
• Facilitate steering committees and management reviews.
• Ensure all actions are followed through to completion.

Recommandation Implementation Management

• Coordinate the execution of recommendations across business and technology domains.
• Translate assessment findings into actionable implementation plans.
• Monitor benefits realization and value delivery.
• Track quick wins, strategic initiatives, and long-term improvements.
• Manage priority conflicts between departments.
• Drive accountability across stakeholders.
• Ensure implementation activities remain aligned with airline strategic objectives.

Relationship & Coordination

• Serve as the operational focal point between the airline and Client.
• Coordinate ongoing interactions with Client Customer Service & Support (CSS).
• Monitor open incidents, service requests, work orders, and enhancement requests.
• Follow up on action plans arising from customer reviews and service governance meetings.
• Coordinate product-related discussions involving Altea and associated solutions.
• Ensure timely escalation of critical issues requiring attention.
• Maintain visibility of ongoing initiatives impacting the airline.

Altea Solution Governance

Provide coordination and oversight across Altea domains, e.g. Altea Reservation, Inventory, Departure Control System (DCS), Loyalty and CRM,…

The PM will not be expected to act as a technical expert but must possess sufficient knowledge of Altea capabilities and airline processes to facilitate discussions, manage dependencies, and assess business impact.

Stakeholder Management and Continuous Improvement

Required Experience

Professional Experience

• 8+ years of Project Management or PMO experience.
• 5+ years within the airline industry.
• Proven experience managent cross-functional transformation programmes.
• Experience leading initiatives involving airline commercial and operational systems.
• Experience working with executive stakeholders and steering committees.
• Demonstrated success in delivering organisational change and transformation programmes.

Airline Industry and Knowledge

Strong understanding of Passenger Service Systems (PSS), ideally Airline Altea PSS

Experience participating in:
