We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our construction team.

We deliver a broad range of residential building projects across Sydney, from detailed internal renovations through to significant structural alterations and additions.

Our projects also include second-storey additions and extensions to existing houses and terraces, so demonstrated experience in these types of works will be highly regarded.

We’re looking for someone with strong technical construction knowledge and genuine on-site experience who can confidently manage projects from commencement through to completion.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for overseeing multiple projects at various stages, including:

• Managing projects from commencement through to practical completion and handover
• Programming and sequencing trades and subcontractors
• Managing demolition, structural works, framing, services, waterproofing, tiling, joinery and finishing trades
• Overseeing structural alterations, extensions and additions where required
• Reading and interpreting architectural, structural and engineering documentation
• Identifying construction, sequencing and buildability issues early
• Coordinating engineers, certifiers, designers, suppliers and subcontractors
• Managing procurement and material lead times
• Monitoring project budgets, variations and scope changes
• Conducting regular site inspections and maintaining quality control
• Managing defects and rectification works
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with approved documentation and relevant construction requirements
• Managing client communication throughout the project
• Providing technical guidance to Project Managers, Site Supervisors and trades

What We’re Looking For

This role requires someone with a strong understanding of residential construction, including structural works, framing, waterproofing, services coordination, joinery, finishes and the complexities that come with working within existing structures.

You should be confident reviewing architectural and engineering documentation, understanding construction methodology and working directly with trades and consultants to resolve issues on site.

Experience & Qualifications

• NSW Builder Licence / Qualified Supervisor Certificate highly regarded
• Minimum 10+ years' experience in residential construction and project delivery
• Strong technical building knowledge
• Experience delivering projects involving structural alterations and additions
• Strong understanding of the NCC and relevant Australian Standards
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
• Excellent construction programming and sequencing skills
• Strong subcontractor and trade management
• Commercial understanding of budgets, procurement and variations
• Strong quality control and defect management
• Excellent organisation and client communication
• Ability to manage multiple active projects
• Current Australian driver licence

About You

You’re someone who can walk onto a site, understand what’s happening and know what needs to happen next.

You can read the drawings, communicate confidently with trades and consultants, manage the client and program, and recognise potential issues before they become expensive problems.
