Senior Transportation Project Manager (Bridge & Structures) — Upstate New York (Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany, Binghamton or Ithaca)

A well-established, multi-disciplined engineering and consulting firm is hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead bridge work within its growing Infrastructure and Mobility group in New York State.

This role suits an experienced bridge PM who wants ownership. You'll run a strong backlog of NYSDOT and locally funded bridge design and rehabilitation projects, act as primary client contact, and take work from proposal through design and into construction. The pipeline includes NYSDOT regional programmes, municipal bridge rehabilitations and federally funded transportation work across Western New York, the Finger Lakes and the firm's other NY markets.

What you'll do

• Lead bridge design and rehabilitation projects from proposal through design, PS&E delivery and into construction
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, staffing, billing and QA/QC, including review of structural deliverables and PS&E packages
• Coordinate multidisciplinary delivery across structural, highway and survey teams, working directly with NYSDOT, municipalities and approving agencies
• Prepare winning proposals, support interviews, and grow relationships with public agency and municipal clients
• Mentor bridge engineers and represent the firm in professional and community settings

What you'll bring

• 10+ years of civil transportation engineering experience, including project management of bridge design projects
• Proven experience managing NYSDOT, LAFA and locally funded bridge projects
• Familiarity with federally funded programmes and NYSDOT design standards
• MS Office proficiency (MicroStation and bridge design software preferred) and strong client-facing communication skills
• B.S. in Civil Engineering and an active PE licence (required)
