Senior Project Manager

Our client, a leading national electrical contractor, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex electrical construction projects. This individual will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects, leading high-performing teams, managing client relationships, and ensuring commercial success from preconstruction through project closeout.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multiple electrical construction projects simultaneously from planning through completion.
• Build, develop, and mentor project teams while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within scope, and on budget.
• Manage project financial performance, forecasting, and overall profitability.
• Establish project execution strategies, schedules, staffing plans, and technical objectives.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure expectations are consistently met throughout project delivery.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and design partners.
• Review contracts and oversee compliance with project requirements and commercial obligations.
• Manage change orders, contract negotiations, invoicing, and project reporting.
• Identify project risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement across project delivery processes and operational performance.
• Support preconstruction and business development efforts, including client engagement and pursuit strategies.
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all site safety standards and regulations.
• Oversee design-build coordination efforts and collaborate closely with engineering teams where applicable.

Required Experience

• 7+ years of electrical construction project management experience.
• Proven track record managing large-scale electrical construction projects and project portfolios.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methodologies, and project execution.
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, contracts, change orders, procurement, and forecasting.
• Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary project teams and developing future leaders.
• Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build long-term relationships.
• Experience coordinating with field operations, construction management teams, and subcontractors.
• Strong commercial acumen and history of delivering profitable projects.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Thorough understanding of construction safety standards and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Design-build project experience.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician credentials are advantageous.
• Experience working on mission critical, data center, industrial, or large-scale commercial projects is highly desirable.
