Senior Project Manager

We are seeking a skilled Senior Project Manager to oversee public sector IT projects. The successful candidate will manage the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution, delivery, and closure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage IT projects within the public sector, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget
• Lead, mentor, and manage cross-functional project teams, promoting accountability, collaboration, and high performance
• Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications. Engage and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including government officials and contractors
• Develop detailed project plans, monitor project progress against milestones and deadlines, identify potential risks and issues and propose corrective actions as needed
• Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts when necessary
• Collaborate closely with customer stakeholders to define and document business needs into clear and concise functional specifications for development teams.
• Produce high-quality reports and project documentation for internal and external stakeholders
• Promote a collaborative and productive team environment

Qualifications and Skills

• BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• At least 7 years of proven experience in managing IT projects
• Capable of managing multiple projects and priorities at the same time
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Trustworthy and discreet, with the capability to work effectively in a politically sensitive environment
