The Opportunity

Project Group is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join its Barnet team. This is a broad project management opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex work, working with different stakeholders and seeing projects progress from initial planning through to successful completion.

The role offers scope to take ownership of important projects while working within a professional environment where organisation, accountability and good communication matter.

The Role

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for:

• Managing projects across the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through to completion
• Establishing project plans, milestones, timescales, budgets and resource requirements
• Coordinating internal teams, external suppliers and project stakeholders
• Monitoring project progress, costs, quality and key deliverables
• Identifying risks, issues and dependencies and putting appropriate mitigation plans in place
• Managing changes to project scope, schedules and requirements
• Preparing clear project reports, updates and documentation for relevant stakeholders
• Maintaining appropriate project governance and ensuring agreed processes are followed

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management or a closely related role
• Demonstrable experience managing projects from planning through to delivery
• Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, budgeting and risk management
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
• Confident written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, suppliers and other stakeholders
• Sound judgement when managing changing priorities, risks and project issues
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and relevant project management or reporting systems
• A project management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM or equivalent would be advantageous
• A degree or equivalent qualification in Project Management, Business or a related discipline would be beneficial, but relevant professional experience is also valued
