Job Description: IT Project Manager – Branch Migration & Infrastructure Rollout

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to manage end-to-end branch migration and IT infrastructure rollout projects in Japan. The ideal candidate will have strong project planning, execution, governance, and stakeholder management skills, along with experience coordinating multiple project workstreams under tight deadlines.

The candidate must be proficient in English and possess basic Japanese language proficiency to coordinate effectively with local vendors and business users.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end branch migration and IT infrastructure rollout projects, from planning through execution and closure.
• Apply PMP methodologies and project management best practices for project planning, execution, monitoring, and tracking.
• Develop, maintain, and manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Manage project tasks, resource allocation, timelines, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Coordinate with Program Managers, Project Manager Leads, technical teams, and delivery stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
• Liaise with Japanese vendors and local business users to coordinate maintenance windows, site activities, and migration schedules.
• Manage multiple parallel project workstreams while ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.
• Drive fast-tracked projects and ensure timely delivery within tight deadlines.
• Maintain project governance, reporting, documentation, status updates, and escalation processes.
• Proactively identify project risks, resolve delivery bottlenecks, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination between regional teams, local vendors, and business stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT project management, particularly in branch migration, infrastructure rollout, or IT deployment projects.
• Strong understanding of PMP methodologies and project management frameworks.
• Hands-on experience developing and managing WBS, project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource plans.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously.
• Ability to deliver projects under tight timelines and manage changing priorities.
• Strong project governance, risk management, dependency tracking, and reporting skills.
• Fluent English communication skills are mandatory.
• Basic Japanese language proficiency is mandatory to coordinate with Japanese vendors and business users.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience managing branch/site migration or IT infrastructure rollout projects in Japan.
• Experience working with Japanese vendors, local business users, and regional delivery teams.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience working in multinational IT infrastructure or network deployment environments.
