Senior Project Manager

eir business talent are currently seeking applicants for a Senior Project Manager. This is a day rate contractor position located with our client in Dublin. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days onsite per week. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a range of ICT and cybersecurity transformation initiatives within a complex, regulated environment.

This role requires a strong Project Manager with proven experience operating within structured governance frameworks , delivering projects across waterfall and agile methodologies , and maintaining tight control over budgets, risks, and timelines . The successful candidate will work as part of an established PMO function , ensuring consistent, transparent, and controlled delivery aligned to organisational standards.

Key Responsibilities Project Delivery

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of ICT and cybersecurity projects from initiation through to completion
• Define scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria aligned to business priorities
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations
• Deliver projects in line with agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards

Governance & Control

• Operate within a structured PMO and governance framework
• Maintain strong control over risks, issues, dependencies, and change management processes
• Provide clear and structured reporting to stakeholders, including status updates and financial tracking
• Ensure full documentation, auditability, and adherence to delivery standards

Budget & Financial Management

• Take ownership of project budgets , including forecasting, tracking, and reporting
• Ensure financial performance is tightly controlled, with visibility of variances and corrective actions
• Manage vendor spend and ensure value for money across project delivery

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
• Facilitate governance forums, steering committees, and project workshops
• Ensure third-party delivery aligns with agreed outcomes and service expectations

Delivery Methodology

• Deliver projects using a mix of waterfall and agile methodologies
• Apply consistent delivery standards across all workstreams
• Promote best practice in planning, execution, and continuous improvement

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering ICT or technology-focused projects
• Strong technical understanding of IT environments (infrastructure, applications, or systems delivery)
• Experience working within structured PMO and governance environments
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines, and complex project dependencies
• Strong experience delivering within waterfall and/or agile frameworks
• Excellent understanding of project controls, reporting, and governance standards
• Proven track record working in regulated or complex environments
• Strong communication and influencing skills
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language
• Experience managing multi-vendor environments
• Previous experience working in the public sector or semi-state organisations
• Relevant certifications (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, or similar)
