Project Manager - Technology & Data | 6-Month Contract

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with an established Australian financial services organisation to recruit an experienced Technology Project Manager for a six-month contract.

Reporting directly to the CTO, this is a hands-on delivery role, taking ownership of an existing portfolio of technology and data initiatives spanning software development, data platforms, systems integration and reporting improvements.

The successful candidate will work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to drive projects through to implementation, ensuring clear priorities, effective coordination and successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple technology and data projects from planning through to implementation and handover.
• Coordinate delivery across software engineering, data teams, business stakeholders and external partners.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies and competing priorities.
• Maintain delivery plans, project documentation and governance reporting.
• Provide clear progress updates and reporting to the CTO and senior stakeholders.
• Oversee testing, user acceptance, implementation and business readiness activities.

About You

• Proven experience independently managing technology projects involving software development, data or systems integration.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of existing projects and manage concurrent delivery priorities.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including requirements, testing, implementation and handover.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage both technical teams and senior business leaders.
• Experience with Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies, including Jira, Confluence or similar tools.
• A proactive, organised and hands-on approach, with the ability to hit the ground running.

Highly Regarded

• Experience within insurance, financial services or another regulated environment.
• Exposure to policy administration systems, underwriting or claims processes.
• Experience delivering data platforms, reporting solutions, systems integrations or migrations.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Fabric or Power BI.
