Senior Project Manager | Onsite in Irvine, CA | Salary Range: $130K-150K Base

Sage Search Partners is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a custom fabrication and design-build company in Irvine, California. This role leads complex, high-visibility custom projects from design handoff through delivery and serves as a trusted senior partner to clients, engineering, and production.

The ideal candidate will bring 5 or more years of project management experience in millwork, exhibits, installations, specialty construction, fabrication, or rollout programs, including ownership of larger or multi-site programs. The client is looking for someone who reads construction drawings with confidence, knows materials and estimating well, and can manage budgets, timelines, and senior client relationships across several projects at once. Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of custom projects, including trade show displays, museum exhibits, specialty fabrication, and multi-site rollouts, from handoff to final delivery.
• Identify risks across the portfolio early and drive mitigation plans that keep commitments intact.
• Act as the senior client contact, providing schedules, updates, samples, and photos while keeping approvals moving.
• Negotiate and line up internal and outside resources, balancing priorities across concurrent projects.
• Lead project kickoffs with engineering and operations, and represent project management in cross-department turnover meetings.
• Verify designs, dimensions, and materials against engineering and client specs, and sign off on quality before delivery.
• Set and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines so work is delivered on time and on budget.
• Work closely with manufacturing leadership to align project requirements with production capacity.
• Coordinate client-provided graphics and art files and keep project records, schedules, and samples current.
• Help adopt and improve the company's newly launched project systems and serve as a resource for other project managers.

Client Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent, with 5 or more years of related project management experience.
• Proven background in millwork, exhibits, installations, specialty construction or fabrication, or rollout programs.
• Experience managing multiple projects or larger programs at the same time.
• Strong command of construction drawings, materials, and estimating.
• Sharp math and analytical skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Polished written and verbal communication with clients and internal leaders.
• Track record of owning client relationships, budgets, and schedules.
• Willing to travel occasionally to client and project sites.
