Senior Project Manager

Ultreia is a Montreal-based IT consulting firm, and we’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to join a long-term mandate with one of the largest engineering firms in the world.

This isn’t a role where projects arrive fully defined. A big part of the work happens before anything is approved: sitting down with the business, understanding what they actually need, building the business case and assessing whether the project makes sense. If it does, you lead it through delivery.

In an organization of this size, no two projects look alike. You could be working on process improvement, business transformation, AI and digital transformation, M&A integration, IT infrastructure or corporate real estate. What matters most for this role is versatility. We’re looking for someone who enjoys moving between very different types of work and can quickly understand a new business context.

What you’ll do

• Lead the discovery phase: analyze business needs from the ground up and define the scope of potential projects
• Build business cases and feasibility assessments, including costs, benefits and risks
• Present recommendations to stakeholders and support their decision-making
• Manage approved projects through delivery: planning, budget, risks, vendors and reporting
• Bring together stakeholders with different priorities and keep everyone aligned

What we’re looking for

• 7+ years of experience in project management
• A background in business analysis or consulting
• Proven experience building business cases and evaluating project feasibility
• Versatility: experience across different types of projects, such as business process improvement, digital transformation, AI initiatives, business applications, M&A integration, IT infrastructure or corporate real estate
• Comfortable stepping into a new area, learning fast and becoming a trusted point of contact
• Bilingual: English and French
• Able to travel to the US for one to two weeks per quarter (a valid US visa or ESTA eligibility is a plus)
• PMP or MBA is an asset
