Senior Project Manager (High-Rise Construction)

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to assume full responsibility for the successful delivery of a high-rise building project in Perak. The successful candidate will oversee the entire project site, including planning, execution, progress monitoring, stakeholder coordination, risk management and project control. Proven experience managing high-rise building construction projects is mandatory.

Key responsibilities

• Assume overall responsibility for the project site, covering project planning, execution, monitoring and control.
• Lead and coordinate the site-based project team, internal stakeholders, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to manage project requirements and resolve operational, technical or contractual matters.
• Identify, assess and resolve technical, construction and site-related challenges promptly and effectively.
• Monitor project risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures to minimise delays, cost overruns and other potential project issues.
• Ensure all construction activities are completed according to the approved project schedule, quality standards and project requirements.
• Monitor project progress, key milestones and deliverables to ensure agreed deadlines are achieved.
• Provide senior management with regular project progress reports, updates and recommendations.
• Take ownership of project deliverables and drive the project team towards successful completion.

About you

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in building construction.
• Proven experience managing large-scale high-rise building construction projects is required.
• Candidates without high-rise building project experience will not be considered.
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing site-based project teams.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder-management, communication, coordination and problem-solving capabilities.
• Self-motivated, independent and capable of taking full ownership of project deliverables.
• Able to perform effectively under pressure and manage demanding construction schedules.
• Strong ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple project priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant construction or project-management tools.
