Senior Project Manager - Infrastructure

About the role

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management, planning, coordination, execution, and successful completion of road construction projects. The position should have strong experience in road & highway infrastructure and civil construction projects, with proven capability in managing large-scale projects from mobilisation through to completion and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall project from mobilisation, construction, testing & commissioning through to completion and handover.
• Develop and monitor the overall project programme, construction schedule, milestones, and critical activities.
• Manage and coordinate major roadwork activities including site clearance and preparation, earthworks and excavation, soil improvement and ground treatment, road drainage and culverts, road marking and associated works.
• Ensure project works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, contracts, and project requirements.
• Identify potential project risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Oversee daily site operations and ensure road construction activities are progressing according to the approved programme.
• Coordinate civil, structural, architectural, M&E, infrastructure, and external works.
• Monitor site progress and resolve construction issues, technical matters, and site constraints promptly.
• Coordinate closely with consultants, architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities.
• Lead project meetings and ensure timely follow-up and closure of outstanding issues.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in construction/project management.
• Proven experience managing large-scale building or institutional projects.
• Experience with earthworks, pavement, drainage, utilities and road infrastructure is highly desirable.
• Strong experience in managing main contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and multiple project stakeholders.
• Good understanding of construction contracts, variation orders, claims, and project documentation.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Strong knowledge of construction regulations, quality standards, and HSSE requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Professional qualifications such as Professional Engineer, PMP, CCM, MRICS, or equivalent will be an advantage.
