Senior Project Manager - Renewable Microgrids

The Role

GenOffGrid have a suite of new microgrid projects commencing which require a Senior Project Manager to oversee their successful delivery. GenOffGrid microgrid projects are world class and often first of kind in the industry. The candidate sought is a motivated self-starter who is able to work effectively and efficiently under pressure. Previous industry related experience will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and control the development of allocated projects, from feasibility stage to handover to the client, to achieve design and profit objectives while ensuring client satisfaction
• Management of all project resources and budgets including labour, materials, equipment, tools, sub-contractors
• Establish, monitor and report project schedules
• Regularly report project progress to senior management
• Participate in the tendering or business development process for prospective projects
• Manage contract administration (variations, delay management etc)
• Co-ordinate closely with the Engineering team to ensure that designs meet customer requirements and also align with the relevant codes and standards
• Negotiate with government departments and authorities to obtain approvals
• Ensure that projects are delivered to a high level of quality in accordance with GenOffGrid quality management system
• Ensure that projects are delivered safely and in accordance with GenOffGrid’s safety management system

About you

• Tertiary qualifications in engineering (ideally electrical), construction management or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, ideally in the energy industry
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
• Strong commercial acumen with advanced problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in project management software and tools
• C class drivers’ licence
