Salary: CHF90-110K plus excellent benefits package

Working pattern: Hybrid, ideally 2-3 days per week in Bern

About the Opportunity

Join an international technology company delivering specialist software solutions to major telecommunications organisations.

This is a genuine client-facing Project Manager role, taking ownership of technology projects from planning through delivery. The emphasis is on strong project governance, financial control, risk and change management, stakeholder communication and structured delivery.

This is not a Scrum Master or Delivery Lead role . Telecom, GIS or network technology experience is useful, but the client is open to candidates from broader software and technology environments with strong core Project Management skills.

Key Requirements

• 3+ years' hands-on Project Management experience within software, technology or enterprise IT
• Proven ownership of end-to-end project delivery
• Strong external client-facing Project Management experience
• Good practical knowledge of recognised PM methodologies such as PMI/PMBOK, PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA or HERMES
• Experience managing project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies and resources
• Strong financial and commercial project management , including budgets, forecasting, cost control and reporting
• Practical experience managing RAID logs, risks, issues, actions and dependencies
• Experience with formal scope and change control
• Experience delivering software implementation, systems integration, migration or deployment projects
• Strong senior stakeholder management skills, including C-level customers
• Experience coordinating cross-functional technical and business teams
• Microsoft Project, Jira or equivalent PM tools

Desirable

• PMP certification or strong practical PMI/PMBOK knowledge
• Telecom, network technology, fibre or OSS/BSS experience
• Exposure to GIS or network inventory platforms such as Smallworld or Ericsson Network Engineer
• Previous PMO, supervisory or mentoring experience

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead customer-facing technology projects from initiation through delivery and closure
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones and delivery objectives
• Maintain RAID logs and manage risks, issues, actions and dependencies
• Operate formal change control and assess impact across scope, cost and schedule
• Manage budgets, forecasts, costs, delivery hours and resource utilisation
• Lead internal and customer-facing project meetings
• Provide regular project, financial and governance reporting
• Monitor milestones, deliverables and project dependencies
• Resolve escalated project issues
• Manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate technical specialists, delivery teams and customer stakeholders
• Support continuous improvement across the PMO
