Senior Project Operations Representative

Job Purpose Provides Operations functional input on the operations and maintenance aspects of Base Business Projects and Capital Projects (mid and large size). Works with cross functional teams to shape opportunities, estimate operational costs, incorporate operational needs into project design, plans, execution and develops Project Operations Planning deliverables using the Project Operations Planning Process. Ensures that operational and maintenance issues and concerns are identified and addressed during design, fabrication, site execution, commissioning, and initial startup through handover.

The Senior Project Operations Representative responsibilities include developing Operations Strategies and providing operational expertise to cross functional discipline groups including engineering, construction, system completion and base business support teams. Responsibilities also include development of operating procedures, operator routine duties, sparing, maintenance requirements, isolation requirements, equipment inspections, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning support, startup planning and execution. The successful candidate will be required to be a mentor to other team members with regards to Project Operations Planning. The position will engage frequently with key internal and external stakeholder and is responsible for delivering technical pre-operations support to projects including POP Process deliverables, resource loaded Operational Plans and all aspects of Project Operations Planning.

Operations Experience* *:

• Experienced in gas operations including high pressure gas pipeline systems, pigging operations, gas conditioning, dehydration, import and export system and LPG systems.
• Experience in LNG processing plants preferred but not required.
• Previous startup experience of new gas and condensate facilities and pipelines including integration into base business operations.
• Previous experience in control system and control room operations.
• Operations knowledge in base business support requirements including CMMS, Safety Systems, Operating Procedures and ORDs.

Project Experience* *:

• Significant experience in Project Ops Professional role supporting Major Capital Projects, Small Projects, Turnarounds and Brownfields work (required).
• Knowledgeable of and proficient in the application of the Project Operations Planning process.
• Experienced in the development of all key Operations project deliverables (resource loaded operations plans, commissioning and start-up support, operating procedures, emergency response plans, staffing plans, preservation plans, Opex budgets).
• Experience mentoring employees is preferred.
• Proficient in a Major Capital Project setting with experience in the design, installation, commissioning, and startup of gas facilities and pipelines.
• Ability to complete deliverables assigned, regarding Project Operations Planning Processes.
• Previous MCP experience is a plus including previous phase 2-4 experience utilizing POP.
• A key requirement is the definition of sparing, isolation & maintenance requirements, and the setup/use of CMMS, as well as experience planning and permitting for safe and efficient execution of brownfield work.
• Able to assemble and mange resources (people, equipment, budget, and schedule etc.) required for timely & successful execution of project scope of work within area of responsibility.

Educational Qualifications Or Equivalent Experience

• Bachelor Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and control Engineering Disciplines. (Preferred but not mandatory)
• High School with Equivalent working experience is considered/ acceptable.

Minimum competence level

• Language: English (fluent), Portuguese (preferred)
• Good written and oral communication skills in English
• Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with & lead a team
• Good adaptability to multinational environment, with wide exposure to various cultures and customs
• Competent and Experienced in Operational planning to make the tactical, strategic and technical decisions

General Technical Knowledge, Skills & Experience -

• Knowledge of PSM work processes: MOC, Process Hazards Analysis, and Incident Investigations

Project Experience

• General knowledge of processes, procedures, and equipment
• Previous member of Major Capital Project Core Team
• Familiar with MCP Operations practices and processes.
• Operator experience in plant project, clean up and start up.

Computer Knowledge

• General knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint
• Familiarity with Planning Computer systems such as Maximo, TA Database, SAP, Primavera, etc..
