Job Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of CAPEX items, engineering equipment, and project materials.
• Handle chemical industry procurement, including reactors, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, utilities, and plant machinery.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors/suppliers for engineering and CAPEX requirements.
• Float RFQs, collect quotations, prepare comparative statements (CS), and negotiate commercial terms.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Maintenance, Production, Quality, and Accounts teams for procurement requirements.
• Evaluate supplier quotations based on price, technical specifications, delivery timelines, quality, and payment terms.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Follow up with vendors for order status, dispatch, delivery, documentation, and payment-related matters.
• Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, quotation comparisons, and purchase documentation.
• Support cost-saving initiatives through vendor negotiation and alternate-source development.
• Ensure procurement is aligned with company policies, approved budgets, specifications, and project timelines.
• Coordinate with vendors for technical/commercial clarifications and resolve procurement-related issues.
• Monitor market trends and identify suitable suppliers for chemical plant equipment and engineering items.
