Senior Purchase Executive

Key Responsibilities

• Handle purchase of raw materials, consumables, tools, spares and services as per requirements.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers/vendors for price, quality and delivery.
• Obtain quotations, compare offers and prepare Purchase Orders (POs).
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve supply issues.
• Monitor purchase costs, stock levels and pending orders.
• Coordinate with Stores, Production, Quality, Finance and other departments for purchase requirements.
• Develop and maintain a reliable vendor database and support vendor evaluation.
• Ensure required materials are purchased as per approved specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain purchase records, quotations, POs and other procurement documents.
• Support cost reduction, alternate sourcing and continuous improvement in procurement.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of purchase and vendor management.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems.
• Ability to analyse quotations and commercial terms.
• Good follow-up, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Qualification & Experience

• Qualification: Graduate / Diploma in any relevant field; Supply Chain / Procurement preferred.
• Experience: 4–7 years in purchase/procurement, preferably in a manufacturing industry.

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
