Senior Purchase Specialist

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and develop a reliable supplier base (local & international) based on cost, quality, capability, and lead time
• Conduct quotation comparison, cost analysis, and recommend optimal purchasing solutions
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and contracts; monitor supplier performance and contract execution
• Create and manage purchase orders (PO); track delivery schedules and resolve issues such as delays, shortages, or discrepancies
• Ensure full control and compliance of procurement documentation (contracts, invoices, records)
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Warehouse, and Finance teams to forecast demand and plan procurement activities
• Monitor inventory levels and propose optimal stock strategies (safety stock, reorder points)
• Perform spend analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers; conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations
• Support import processes (if applicable): coordinate with forwarders and manage shipping documents (PO, Invoice, Packing List, BL, etc.)
• Stay updated on market trends and identify new products/suppliers aligned with business strategy
• Prepare periodic procurement reports (weekly/monthly/quarterly)
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and company policies

Perform other tasks assigned by the line manager

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields
• Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing/procurement or related roles
• Experience in FMCG or Mother & Baby industry is a plus
• Good understanding of procurement processes and supply chain operations
• Knowledge of Incoterms and import/export documentation is an advantage
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and cost management skills
• Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP); ERP experience is a plus
• Proficiency in English or Chinese is required for the role; candidates with Chinese language skills are preferred
• Proactive, responsible, and able to work under pressure
• High integrity, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving mindset
