Senior Purchasing Executive

Koizumi Lighting Singapore Pte Ltd (KLS) is an established Japanese lighting company and part of the Koizumi Sangyo Group, a diversified Japanese group with a history of more than 300 years.  KLS is part of the Group’s lighting business.

In Singapore, KLS provides turnkey lighting solutions, from lighting design and product supply to installation and maintenance services. For project-based work, we offer a wide range of lighting products and brands to meet the specific requirements of different projects, covering indoor and outdoor applications across hospitality,commercial, retail, public-sector and other projects.  We also provide lighting controls and smart lighting solutions, supporting both functional and architectural lighting requirements.

Our projects involve close collaboration with architects, lighting designers, interior designers,engineers, and other industry professionals. We also serve selected markets across the region through our international distribution network, working with partners and distributors in various markets.The role and responsibilities include, but not limited to;

1. PURCHASING & PROCUREMENT function (core function)

• Process purchase requisitions and issue POs
• Source and procure lighting products locally and overseas
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and warranties
• Maintain supplier records and ensure compliance with project specifications

2. LOGISTICS function (approx. 2%):

• Coordinate deliveries with suppliers and project teams
• Support local and international shipments
• Monitor shipment status and report potential delays

3. INVENTORY CONTROL function (approx. 2%):

• Track material availability to prevent shortages or excess
• Support cost comparison and supplier evaluation

4. Cross-Functional Support

• Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, and Accounts for smooth procurement
• Assist with supplier pre-qualification and compliance documentation

5. Any other ad hoc duties assigned

Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a purchasing/supply chain position.
• Strong negotiation & communication skills.
• Able to handle multi projects and tight timelines.
• Motivated to work in challenging, fast paced, and result-driven environment.
