Senior Purchasing Executive (Construction) (Based In Kota Kinabalu)

Responsibilities & Authorities

• Manage and coordinate purchasing activities for construction materials, equipment, services and subcontract works.

• Source suppliers, obtain quotations and prepare quotation comparisons for Management's approval.

• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and other commercial terms.

• Issue and monitor Purchase Orders (PO) and ensure timely delivery of materials.

• Coordinate with Project, Site, QS, Engineering, Store and Finance departments on procurement requirements.

• Monitor supplier/subcontractor performance, quality and delivery.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.

• Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the management.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Construction or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Good knowledge of construction materials and procurement processes.
• Good negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Able to work independently, meet deadlines and handle multiple projects.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• High level of attention to detail.
