Senior Purchasing Officer

• Manage end-to-end purchasing activities, ensuring timely material availability to support operations and customer requirements.
• Develop and execute purchasing strategies to improve cost efficiency, supplier performance, and supply continuity.
• Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Production, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth material planning and delivery.
• Manage supplier relationships, including negotiation of pricing, MOQ, lead time, delivery schedules, and quality requirements.
• Source, evaluate, and maintain reliable suppliers for assigned commodity categories.
• Review and negotiate quotations, purchase agreements, and commercial terms to achieve business objectives.
• Monitor purchase orders, supplier performance, delivery status, and resolve purchasing, logistics, quality, and invoice-related issues.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, alternative sourcing options, and process improvements.
• Support supplier contract negotiations, strategic supplier reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide guidance and support to junior purchasing team members when required.

Job Requirement

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Economics, Engineering (Others), Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce or equivalent.

• At least 6-8 year(s) of working experience in in similar environment..

• Applicants must be willing to work in Bayan Lepas.

• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and negotiation techniques.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven with strong ownership of responsibilities.
