What they need
You know that supply reliability is not just logistics – it's strategy. As a Senior Purchasing Specialist, you will take full ownership of the purchasing function at our plant, managing the end-to-end process from analysing material needs and placing orders through coordinating deliveries, resolving discrepancies and driving continuous cost and process optimisation. Working closely with Group Purchasing and key internal stakeholders, you will play a critical role in securing reliable and cost-effective supply for our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Define purchasing needs based on stock levels, production plans and sales forecasts – and manage the full ordering process in the ERP system.
- Ensure on-time delivery by monitoring order confirmations, tracking shipments and proactively following up with suppliers.
- Handle day-to-day supplier communication, claims and discrepancies independently and solution-oriented.
- Coordinate inbound logistics with freight forwarders, customs agencies and logistics partners – including all relevant documentation.
- Verify invoices and transport documents against purchase orders and resolve any differences efficiently.
- Support group purchasing strategies locally and actively identify cost optimization opportunities within your area of responsibility.
- Act as the main point of contact between Purchasing and internal departments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proven hands-on experience across the full purchasing cycle – from demand analysis and PO creation to delivery follow-up and invoice verification.
- Practical experience with international suppliers and inbound logistics, including cooperation with freight forwarders and customs agencies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a comparable ERP system; good Excel skills.
- Business fluent English (min. C1 level); additional languages are an advantage.
- Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail and excellent communication skills – with the ability to work independently, manage priorities and build effective relationships across functions and countries.
What We Offer
- Stable employment in an established, internationally operating company with a strong market position.
- A key, independent role with real impact on supply reliability and cost efficiency.
- Opportunity to actively shape and improve purchasing and logistics processes within a growing, centralizing organization.
- Competitive salary package aligned with your experience and qualifications, including LuxMed private medical care and Multisport card.
- Opportunities for professional growth and development within an international environment.
