About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Python Engineer with strong backend development skills and hands-on experience in web applications, web scraping, APIs, databases, automation, and cloud infrastructure.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently, solving technical problems, and using modern AI-assisted development tools such as Claude effectively to improve development productivity, debugging, documentation, testing, and code quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend/web applications using Python, Django, or Flask.
• Design and develop REST APIs, integrations, and backend services.
• Build and maintain web scraping solutions using tools and libraries such as Selenium, BeautifulSoup, Pyppeteer, or similar technologies.
• Work with MongoDB for database design, queries, indexing, optimization, and data management.
• Implement and manage Celery, Cron Jobs, and background tasks for automation and scheduled processing.
• Work with WebSockets and real-time communication where required.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of applications on AWS/cloud infrastructure.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application, API, database, and production issues.
• Write clean, scalable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Develop and maintain unit tests and participate in application testing and quality improvements.
• Collaborate with developers and other teams to understand requirements and deliver reliable technical solutions.
• Use Claude and other AI-assisted development tools effectively for coding, debugging, code review, test generation, documentation, refactoring, research, and productivity improvement.
• Review and validate AI-generated code before integrating it into production systems, ensuring security, correctness, performance, and maintainability.
• Document technical processes, APIs, architecture, troubleshooting steps, and development workflows.
• Stay updated with modern Python technologies, backend frameworks, cloud services, automation tools, and AI-assisted development practices.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of professional experience in Python/backend development.
• Postgraduate degree (M.Tech, MCA, MSc CS/IT, or equivalent) in a relevant field.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Django and/or Flask.
• Strong understanding of REST API development and integration.
• Practical experience with MongoDB, including queries, indexing, and performance optimization.
• Experience with web scraping and libraries/tools such as Selenium, BeautifulSoup, Pyppeteer, Playwright, or similar.
• Good understanding of Celery, Cron Jobs, task queues, and background processing.
• Working knowledge of AWS and cloud infrastructure.
• Good understanding of WebSockets and real-time applications.
• Familiarity with Git/version control and software development workflows.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.

AI & Claude Skills

The candidate should have excellent practical proficiency with Claude and demonstrate the ability to use AI effectively as part of the software development lifecycle.

Experience should include:

• Using Claude for code generation and development assistance.
• Debugging and analyzing complex code/issues with Claude.
• Generating and improving unit/integration tests.
• Code refactoring and optimization.
• Reviewing AI-generated code for correctness and security.
• Creating technical documentation and API documentation.
• Using AI for development research and problem-solving.
• Writing effective prompts and providing appropriate technical context to AI tools.

Important: We are looking for candidates who can use Claude as a development productivity tool while maintaining strong independent engineering judgment, rather than relying blindly on AI-generated code.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
