Senior Python Developer

Design and maintain backend systems that have to stay fast, reliable, and secure as real users depend on them. As a Senior Python Web Developer at Talentica, you’ll work with our client Autodesk, building Python-based web applications and RESTful APIs, solving engineering challenges such as query optimization and secure authentication at scale.

What You'll Own

• Design and build server-side logic in Python using frameworks like Django or Flask.
• Own the RESTful APIs connecting front-end and back-end systems.
• Design database schemas and optimize queries across PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar databases.
• Implement authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth) to protect sensitive data.
• Write unit and integration tests using frameworks like pytest to ensure code correctness and reliability.
• Own code quality across the team: lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and debug production issues.
• Work with DevOps to ensure smooth deployment, and maintain technical documentation for the codebase and APIs.

What We Need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing back-end applications using Python.
• Proficiency in one or more Python web frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask).
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of testing frameworks and libraries (e.g., pytest).
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., JWT, OAuth).
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Good to have: familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
