Senior Python Developer

I’m recruiting for an energy technology startup building intelligent infrastructure for the future power grid.

The company combines large-scale distributed systems, real-time optimization, and intelligent energy market participation. This is a hands-on role in a small, high-quality R&D team in Tel Aviv, with significant ownership and direct influence on the product and architecture.

What you’ll do

• Design and build reliable, scalable production systems
• Work hands-on across architecture, backend development, cloud, data, APIs, and DevOps
• Develop primarily with Python and AWS
• Work with modern AI-assisted and agentic development workflows
• Maintain high standards for testing, observability, security, maintainability, and code quality
• Collaborate across software, algorithms, energy systems, hardware integrations, and real-world operations

What you need

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and AWS
• Experience building scalable production systems
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, cloud, distributed systems, data, APIs, and DevOps
• A broad engineering perspective combined with a fully hands-on approach
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, multidisciplinary startup environment
• Curiosity, versatility, ownership, and a great sense of humor
