About the role

We're building intelligent systems that turn video into decisions: detecting events, tracking activity, and generating real-time insights. We're looking for an experienced Python engineer who is excited by AI/ML and computer vision and wants to do meaningful work again after a career break. What you'll do

• Design and build Python services and pipelines for video ingestion, processing, and analysis
• Develop, fine-tune, and deploy computer vision models
• Turn research prototypes into reliable, scalable production systems
• Build APIs (FastAPI/Django/Flask) that deliver model outputs to dashboards and applications

What we're looking for

Must have

• 6+ years of professional Python experience, including production backend work
• Hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Working knowledge of OpenCV and video processing (FFmpeg, GStreamer, or similar)
• Solid grounding in ML fundamentals and model evaluation
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, Git, and Docker
• Genuine curiosity for AI/ML and video analytics, shown through work, projects, or self-learning

Good to have

• Experience with YOLO, DeepStream, ONNX, or TensorRT
• Cloud deployment on AWS, Azure, or GCP; Kubernetes; CI/CD
• MLOps tooling such as MLflow or model monitoring
• Streaming and messaging systems (Kafka, RTSP pipelines)
• Recent upskilling through courses, open-source, or personal projects
