Senior QA Automation Engineer (Platform)

For our client, we are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer (Platform) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will focus on building and maturing automation capabilities that improve software quality, reliability, and delivery speed across the platform. The engineer will partner closely with development teams to strengthen test infrastructure, streamline QA workflows, and bring prototypes into production-ready solutions. It is an opportunity to shape both the testing strategy and the tooling that supports modern software delivery in a highly regulated industry.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automation frameworks for functional and performance testing.
• Create automated agents to streamline QA and testing workflows.
• Develop, deploy, and operate automation-dependent applications in production.
• Transform prototypes into polished solutions through feedback and iteration.
• Identify and address gaps in existing testing frameworks and tools.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience in software production with expertise in test infrastructure and developer tooling.
• Proven ability to develop test automation frameworks from inception to wide adoption.
• Experience orchestrating agentic coding tools in daily work.
• Hands-on skills in microservices and Kubernetes for deployment management.
• Ability to deliver solutions for ambiguous problem statements independently.
