Senior QA Automation Engineer Playwright

Role & responsibilities

1.Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python.

2. Develop and maintain scalable, reusable, and reliable test automation frameworks.

3. Implement and maintain Page Object Model (POM), reusable components, fixtures, and test utilities.

4. Create and execute automated functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end test cases.

5. Utilize AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude, and GitHub Copilot to accelerate test script development, refactoring, and debugging.

6. Review and validate AI-generated code to ensure accuracy, security, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.

7. Design and execute API tests and integrate API validations with UI automation workflows wherever required.

8. Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.

9. Configure and maintain automated test reporting and dashboards using Allure, Playwright HTML Reporter, or equivalent tools.

10. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve flaky tests, automation failures, and test execution issues.

11. Optimize automation scripts to improve test execution speed, reliability, and overall test coverage.

Preferred candidate profile

The ideal candidate is a Senior QA Automation Engineer with 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance and at least 4+ years of hands-on test automation experience. They should have strong expertise in Playwright, programming, API testing, framework development, and CI/CD integration.

Candidates who have successfully implemented reliable automation frameworks, used AI coding assistants responsibly, reduced flaky tests, and supported continuous testing in Agile environments will be preferred.
