Senior QA Engineer (Automation & Manual Testing)

Job Summary We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Senior QA Engineer with strong expertise in both automation and manual testing and AI tools / features to lead our quality assurance efforts. The ideal candidate will drive QA strategy, mentor QA engineers, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable software products.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end QA activities including test planning, test design, execution, automation, and defect management
• Define and implement QA strategies, processes, and best practices across projects
• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks for web and/or mobile applications
• Perform and oversee manual testing including functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT support
• Excellent experience in AI tools and features
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, DevOps, and Business stakeholders to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
• Review requirements and design documents to ensure testability and quality coverage
• Track and report quality metrics, test progress, and risks to leadership
• Mentor and guide QA team members; conduct code and test case reviews
• Drive CI/CD integration of automated test suites
• Ensure adherence to SDLC/STLC, Agile/Scrum practices
• Participate in release sign-offs and post-release analysis

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience in software testing with a strong mix of automation and manual testing
• Proven experience in a Senior QA role
• Strong knowledge of test methodologies, QA processes, and defect management
• Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium / Cypress / Playwright / TestNG / JUnit / PyTest
• Expertise in AI tools and features
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language:
• Java / Python / JavaScript
• Experience in API testing (RestAssured, Postman, etc.)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum environments
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Good to Have

• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, etc.)
• Exposure to mobile automation (Appium)
• Experience testing cloud-based or microservices architectures
• ISTQB or other QA certifications
• Prior experience working with global or distributed teams
