Job Summary We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our web applications, APIs, and internal systems. The candidate should have strong experience in manual testing, test planning, defect management, and software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will work closely with Product Managers, Developers, UI/UX Designers, and Operations teams to identify issues early, improve product quality, and establish QA best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, PRDs, user stories, and technical specifications.
• Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
• Test web applications, mobile-responsive interfaces, APIs, and backend services.
• Validate business logic, workflows, calculations, permissions, and edge cases.
• Identify, document, reproduce, and track software defects.
• Verify bug fixes and ensure issues are resolved before release.
• Participate in sprint planning, grooming, reviews, and release activities.
• Collaborate closely with developers to improve product quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Review requirements and provide feedback before development begins.
• Ensure proper test coverage for new and existing features.
• Monitor production issues and assist with root cause analysis.
• Maintain QA documentation and testing reports.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and help establish QA processes and standards.

Experience Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Experience testing Ecommerce, ERP, CRM, SaaS, or business management applications.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.

API Testing Experience With

• REST APIs
• Postman
• Swagger / OpenAPI
• JSON request and response validation

Database Testing Ability To

• Write SQL queries
• Validate database records
• Verify data integrity
• Test complex business rules

Ecommerce Testing Knowledge The Candidate Should Be Comfortable Testing

• Customer registration and checkout flows
• Product management
• Inventory management
• Pricing and discounts
• Coupons and promotions
• Order lifecycle
• Payment workflows
• Delivery and courier integrations
• Refund and return processes
• User roles and permissions

Defect Management

• Strong bug reporting and debugging skills.
• Ability to provide clear reproduction steps.
• Experience using issue-tracking tools such as Jira, ClickUp, Linear, Trello, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with test automation tools.
• Basic understanding of .NET APIs and Angular applications.
• Experience testing third-party integrations.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and release processes.
• Experience working in startup or fast-paced product teams.
