Senior Qa Engineer

Role & responsibilities :-

• Manage daily QA activities as per production and dispatch requirements.
• Plan and allocate QA manpower and ensure effective utilisation across shifts.
• Coordinate with Production & Dispatch teams as per the daily plan to fulfil customer requirements.
• Ensure timely availability of quality-approved components for dispatch.
• Monitor in-process and final inspection of plastic injection molded components.
• Control rejection, rework, defects and process deviations.
• Ensure compliance with Control Plan, Work Instructions and inspection standards.
• Handle internal and customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
• Conduct RCA, 5 Why, Fishbone, 8D and CAPA for quality issues.
• Coordinate with Production, Tool Room, Maintenance and Development teams for corrective actions.
• Monitor PPM, rejection, rework and customer complaint performance.
• Prepare and maintain PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC and MSA documents.
• Conduct process/product audits and ensure timely closure of observations.
• Support IATF 16949, customer-specific requirements and internal/customer audits.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce rejection, rework and customer complaints.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Plastic Injection Molding Quality
• Knowledge of Automotive Plastic Components
• QA/QC manpower handling and team management
• Production & Dispatch coordination
• Customer requirement and complaint handling
• PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan
• SPC, MSA and 7 QC Tools
• Process & Product Audit
• Rejection and rework control
• Knowledge of measuring instruments and inspection methods
• Working knowledge of IATF 16949
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills

Preferred candidate profile :-

• 8-12 years of relevant experience in QA/QC Plastic Injection Molding.
• Experience in the Automotive Industry / Plastic Injection Molding will be preferred.
• Should be capable of independently handling daily QA activities and manpower.
• Strong coordination with Production, Dispatch, Tool Room, Maintenance and Development teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet quality and customer delivery requirements.
