Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Lead to establish and lead comprehensive quality assurance processes for our innovative educational platform. You will lead a team of 1-2 QA engineers and be responsible for ensuring the quality, security, and reliability of a complex multi-modal learning system. This role requires expertise in educational technology testing, accessibility compliance, and managing quality across integrated systems including web applications, APIs, and gaming platform integrations.

Key Responsibilities QA Leadership Strategy

• Lead and mentor a team of 1-2 QA engineers

• Develop comprehensive testing strategies for educational platform across multiple user personas

• Establish quality gates and acceptance criteria for three major MVP releases

• Collaborate with Product Manager and Technical Lead on quality requirements and testing timelines

• Drive QA best practices and standards across the offshore development team

Test Planning Execution

• Design test plans for complex educational workflows including adaptive learning algorithms

• Create comprehensive test cases for data analytics and cross-platform data synchronization

• Develop testing strategies for gaming services

• Plan and execute security testing for international data privacy compliance (FERPA, GDPR)

• Coordinate accessibility testing to ensure WCAG 2.1 AA compliance

Automated Testing Implementation

• Design and implement automated testing frameworks using Jest and Azure Functions Emulator.

• Build integration test suites for Azure Cosmos DB and server(less) backend APIs.

• Create end-to-end testing scenarios for critical user journeys across the platform

• Implement performance testing for scalability requirements (supporting 5,000-25,000+ students).

• Establish continuous testing integration with CI/CD pipelines.

Educational Platform Specific Testing

• Test adaptive content delivery algorithms and personalization features.

• Validate educational content accuracy and learning objective alignment.

• Test role-based access controls and user permission systems across different user types.

• Verify marketplace functionality including content purchasing and monetization features.

• Ensure data integrity and accuracy in learning analytics and progress tracking.

Required Qualifications QA Leadership Experience

• 4-6+ years of QA experience with 3+ years in senior/lead roles

• Proven track record leading QA teams through complex, multi-stakeholder software projects.

• Experience with agile testing methodologies and offshore development team coordination.

• Strong background in both manual and automated testing strategies.

Educational Technology Expertise

• Understanding of learning management system testing requirements and user workflows.

• Experience testing content delivery, assessment systems, and learning analytics.

• Knowledge of international data privacy regulations and compliance testing (FERPA, GDPR, COPPA).

• Familiarity with accessibility testing standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and assistive technologies.

Technical Testing Skills

• Expert knowledge of automated testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Selenium, or similar)

• Experience with API testing tools and database testing methodologies

• Proficiency with Azure services testing including Functions, Cosmos DB, server/serverless architectures, and mocking of shared Azure resources (i.e., mocking Azure storage)

• Strong understanding of security testing methodologies and penetration testing coordination

• Experience with performance testing tools and load testing strategies

Integration Platform Testing

• Experience testing complex integrations with external platforms (gaming platforms preferred).

• Knowledge of real-time data synchronization testing across multiple systems.

• Understanding of payment processing and e-commerce functionality testing.

• Experience with content management system testing and digital asset validation.

• Familiarity with marketplace platform testing including user-generated content workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing gaming platform integrations

• Background in accessibility testing and assistive technology validation

• Knowledge of international compliance testing requirements (GDPR, privacy regulations)

• Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD testing integration

• Familiarity with data analytics platform testing and business intelligence validation

• Certifications in software testing (ISTQB, Agile Testing, or similar)

• Test seamless data flow between web portal, gaming experiences, and future learning modalities

Complex User Ecosystem Testing

• Design test scenarios for Learners, Deliverers, Creators, and Judges with different access levels and workflows.

• Test marketplace mechanics including content creation, publishing, purchasing, and revenue sharing.

• Validate role-based permissions and data visibility across different user types.

Scalability Performance Validation

• Test platform performance from single classroom to 25,000+ concurrent users

• Validate auto-scaling behavior and system reliability under peak educational usage patterns

• Ensure data integrity and system responsiveness during high-load scenarios

Educational Compliance Testing

• Verify comprehensive data protection and privacy controls for student information Test audit logging and compliance reporting functionality for educational institutions

• Validate accessibility compliance across all user interfaces and learning experiences
