Senior QA Software Developer (Remote First)

For our client, we are seeking a Senior QA Software Developer (Remote First) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will focus on strengthening quality across the software development lifecycle through automation, test strategy, and close partnership with engineering teams. You will help build reliable frameworks, improve release confidence, and support secure, accessible user experiences in a fast-moving, remote-first environment. The position also offers the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and introduce practical AI-assisted approaches that improve testing efficiency.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $115,000 – $145,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain reusable test automation frameworks across multiple testing types
• Leverage AI-assisted development to improve test creation efficiency
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with developers
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure high-quality user stories before release
• Identify and propose enhancements to system resilience and coverage gaps
• Use security and accessibility tools to uphold user commitments
• Mentor junior engineers on best practices and responsible use of AI tools

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of experience in Test Automation and Quality Assurance
• Strong experience with modern E2E automation frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress
• Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript, plus unit testing frameworks
• Experience with API testing and automation, along with manual testing approaches
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaboration across teams
