Senior QA/QC Engineer – Civil

Experience: Minimum 6 years of UAE experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA/QC Engineer – Civil with a strong civil engineering background and a minimum of 6 years of UAE experience. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all civil works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and UAE regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor QA/QC activities for civil construction works.
• Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, and inspection requirements.
• Prepare and review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and quality checklists.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Raise and follow up on Inspection Requests (IRs) and ensure timely approvals.
• Monitor material quality and ensure materials comply with approved specifications.
• Review material submittals, test reports, certificates, and other quality documentation.
• Identify non-conformities and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain proper QA/QC records, inspection reports, test results, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with site engineers and construction teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Ensure civil works such as concrete, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, excavation, backfilling, and finishing are carried out to the required standards.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits when required.
• Ensure compliance with relevant UAE standards, authority requirements, and project specifications.
• Prepare regular QA/QC reports and maintain proper documentation throughout the project.
• Support the project team in achieving quality objectives and timely project completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant UAE experience in QA/QC, preferably in construction or contracting.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction activities and quality control procedures.
• Good knowledge of QA/QC documentation, ITPs, Method Statements, MIRs, and IRs.
• Experience dealing with consultants and clients in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, testing procedures, and applicable standards.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple quality-related activities.
• UAE driving license is an advantage.
• Candidates currently available in the UAE are preferred.
