Senior QAQC Engineer (Electrical)

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control and Assurance:

• Develop, implement, and maintain QAQC procedures, policies, and standards for mechanical and electrical systems.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that M&E installations meet the required quality standards, codes, and specifications.
• Review M&E design documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Prepare and manage inspection and test plans (ITP) for M&E works.
• Ensure the proper documentation of quality control activities, including test reports, inspections, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).

Monitoring and Reporting:

• Perform quality audits on materials, equipment, and installation methods to identify and address any quality issues.
• Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to discuss quality control concerns and resolve issues on-site.
• Report any deviations from approved plans or specifications, and coordinate corrective actions with the project team.
• Maintain a record of inspections and tests, ensuring all documentation is accurate and accessible for audits.

Testing and Commissioning:

• Oversee testing, commissioning, and start-up activities for mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ensure that all systems are tested in accordance with established standards and specifications.
• Review testing results and take necessary corrective actions to rectify issues in installations.

Compliance and Standards:

• Ensure that the M&E works comply with local building codes, industry standards, and project-specific requirements.
• Stay up-to-date with relevant international and local codes, regulations, and best practices related to mechanical and electrical systems.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical (or related field).
• Minimum of 5-years of experience in quality control and assurance, specifically in M&E systems for critical-missioned construction projects.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, installation methods, and testing protocols.
