Senior Quality Assurance Test Engineer

Senior QA Test Engineer — Contract Paris | Outside IR35 | €300–380 per day

A leading clearing house within a major global financial markets group is seeking a Senior QA Test Engineer to join its Shared Services IT function on a contract basis. This role sits within a Shared Applications team supporting critical clearing house systems. You will bring senior-level expertise across both manual and automated testing, working within an agile delivery environment to ensure robust, risk-prioritised test coverage across high-impact use cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Write test strategy, test plans and use cases, applying risk-based testing (RBT) methodology
• Design, build and maintain a non-regression automated test suite focused on high-risk use cases
• Take part in the architecture and ongoing maintenance of automation solutions and tooling
• Collaborate with developers, Business Analysts and Project Managers to embed automation into the wider workflow
• Support QA environment configuration alongside the cloud migration team

Candidate Requirements

• 5–10 years' experience in software testing within an IT environment, ideally within banking, finance or a clearing house setting
• Experience in automation testing using structured testing methodology, across Linux and Windows environments
• Strong programming knowledge across Java, Python, JavaScript, Shell, PL/SQL and Gherkin
• Experience with testing frameworks including Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Maven and Cucumber BDD
• Strong front-to-back financial product knowledge
• Fluent English, both written and verbal

Experience with Angular/TypeScript, cloud concepts, VTOM, and AI-powered testing tools is advantageous.
