Job description

Role & responsibilities

QMS Documentation & Control

• Maintain all QMS documents, formats, procedures, SOPs, work instructions, and records for the quality departments
• .Support implementation of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 system requirements.

In-Process Quality Control

• Conduct first-piece, patrol, and stage inspections during production.
• Ensure process parameters and quality standards are maintained.
• Monitor critical dimensions and process characteristics.
• Ensure operators follow control plans, SOPs, and inspection standards.
• Identify abnormal conditions and initiate containment actions
• Monitored SPC for critical characteristics
• Perform MSA for measuring instruments.

Internal Process & Product Audit & Compliance

• Plan and coordinate internal Process & product audits as per schedule.
• Maintain audit records, NC reports, and closure status.
• Follow up for corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Support customer audits, certification audits, and process audits.
• Ensure departmental compliance with QMS requirements.

Customer Complaint Handling

• Receive and record customer complaints and concerns.
• Coordinate with internal departments for analysis and corrective actions.
• Prepare customer complaint reports, 8D reports, CAPA, and action updates.
• Ensure timely response submission to customers.
• Monitor complaint trends and initiate improvement actions.
• Coordinate root cause analysis activities.
• Track implementation effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Support continual improvement projects.
• Ensure closure of customer and audit action points within target dates.

Customer Support & Communication

• Act as a coordination point between customer and internal departments.
• Handle customer communication related to quality, delivery support, and documentation.

Maintain customer portals and upload required documents/reports.

• Support customers regarding PPAP, COA, test reports, and quality documents.
• Ensure customer-specific requirements are updated and communicated internally.

Quality Data Management

• Maintain customer & inhouse PPM, rejection data, warranty data, and supplier/customer scorecards.
• Monitor quality objectives and trends.
• Verify calibration, validation, and quality records as applicable.

PPAP & APQP Support

• Support preparation and submission of PPAP documents.
• Coordinate APQP activities and customer submission requirements.
• Maintain PPAP master records and status tracking

Training & Awareness

• Conduct awareness sessions related to quality and customer requirements & complaints.
• Support employee awareness for quality systems and customer expectations.

Coordination Activities

• Coordinate with Production, PPC, Maintenance, Purchase, and Stores departments for quality-related matters.
• Support containment actions during customer complaints or line rejection issues.
• Ensure timely communication of critical quality concerns to management.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong Knowledge and working experience of IATF 16949 is must
• Strong understanding of rubber molding processes (compression / is preferred)
• Must have faced customer quality audits
• Problem-solving tools: 7 QC tools, PPAP
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Good communication and documentation skills
