Senior Quality Engineer

About the role

This role involves managing customer complaints and non-conformance issues for finished products, ensuring effective and timely resolution. You will lead technical failure analyses, generate 8D reports, and monitor quality performance metrics. The position requires coordinating across internal and external sites on lessons learned, managing non-conforming lots, supporting change management and new product introduction quality activities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to address systemic quality issues.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all customer complaints and non-conformance issues are responded to, eliminated, contained and corrected effectively and in a timely manner
• Review returned parts or products, examine defect logs, and lead technical failure analyses and investigations
• Generate and issue 8D reports with supporting documentation, ensuring requirements and customer reports are met through the review and approval process until closure
• Use standard quality tools such as 8D, Fishbone/FTA, or 3x5-Why to identify root causes of defects
• Update and issue Customer Quality Key Performance goals and coordinate with KPI owners on action measures for missed metrics
• Fan-in and fan-out of CCAR and customer lessons learned sharing to internal and external sites
• Review and ensure quality requirements on MRB/MAV are met
• Develop and implement quality controls and improvement actions for internal plant
• Support CAB review and follow-up closure for change management
• Support NPI review related to customer quality lessons learned
• Determine and drive CIPs to address systemic quality issues and ensure on-time implementation
• Keep records updated in quality systems, monitor defect trends, and lead meeting cadence for CCAR KPI improvement
• Conduct CAPA audits on committed actions for internal plant and support external audits

About you

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, preferably Electronics/Electrical Engineering
• Experience in Quality Assurance functions from a semiconductor company with exposure to external manufacturing
• Strong knowledge in problem solving techniques, process and quality control tools, and risk assessment
• Knowledge in change management, NPI, and quality audits
• Expertise in manufacturing and working principles of MOSFETs and IC products including wafer, package, assembly, failure mode and effect, and analytical techniques
• Excellent communication skills
