Senior Quality Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space.

This role will focus on strengthening product quality across applications, APIs, and modern cloud-based delivery environments. You will design and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks while partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams to support reliable releases. The position also emphasizes quality metrics, exploratory testing, and continuous improvement in a fast-moving technology organization.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $108,000 – $128,250 annually

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks
• Plan and execute comprehensive testing strategies across applications and APIs
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams to support high-quality releases
• Define, track, and analyze quality metrics for continuous improvement
• Drive best practices in test automation and quality engineering
• Perform exploratory and risk-based testing to uncover edge cases
• Support and mentor team members in quality engineering

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality engineering
• Strong experience with automated testing using JavaScript and/or Java
• Hands-on experience with tools like Playwright or Appium
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes-based deployments
• Experience with event-driven architectures like Apache Kafka
• Familiarity with SQL and non-SQL databases, including MongoDB
