Senior Quality Manager – Front-End Semiconductor Fab

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Manager to lead quality and reliability programs across multiple sites or related teams. This role is responsible for developing and implementing quality strategies, improving manufacturing and engineering processes, and ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership experience and extensive working knowledge of front-end semiconductor fabrication operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and management of quality and reliability programs and related business processes.
• Establish quality standards, specifications, methods, and procedures across manufacturing and engineering operations.
• Manage multiple quality teams, set priorities, and allocate resources effectively.
• Evaluate operational performance against established quality standards and identify improvement opportunities.
• Analyse quality and reliability data to determine program requirements, risks, trends, and corrective actions.
• Partner with manufacturing, engineering, operations, and other business units to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide recommendations on quality best practices for engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Develop and oversee quality and reliability training programmes.
• Review existing training materials to ensure alignment with current processes, standards, and business requirements.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance systems, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and resolve complex technical, operational, and organisational quality issues.
• Recruit, train, coach, evaluate, and manage employees to ensure the effective operation of the quality function.
• Influence internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, customers, and business partners.
• Develop departmental and sub-functional plans aligned with business, production, and organisational priorities.

Requirements

• Strong working knowledge and experience within a front-end semiconductor wafer fabrication environment.
• Proven managerial experience leading managers, professional staff, or multiple related quality teams.
• Extensive experience in quality management, quality assurance, reliability, manufacturing quality, or a related function.
• Comprehensive knowledge of quality systems, standards, methodologies, and continuous improvement practices.
• Strong understanding of how the quality function integrates with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and wider business objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse data, identify quality risks, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Proven experience resolving complex technical, operational, and organisational challenges.
• Strong people-management skills, including employee development, performance management, and resource planning.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder-management, and influencing skills.
• Ability to engage effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related discipline is preferred.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with quality leadership experience in semiconductor organisations such as wafer fabrication facilities, foundries, integrated device manufacturers, or semiconductor equipment manufacturers will be highly preferred.
