Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civil (Site-Based)

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage pre-contract and post-contract QS functions including budgeting, cost planning, procurement, and final account settlement;
• Prepare and administer main contract and subcontract packages, including tender evaluation and contract documentation;
• Handle interim payment applications, final accounts, and cost reporting for main contract works;
• Assess and negotiate variations (VO), compensation events, and claims in accordance with contract provisions;
• Perform measurement, re-measurement, and cost valuation for project works;
• Monitor project cost performance, identify commercial risks, and provide cost control and mitigation strategies;
• Support contract administration and ensure compliance with contract requirements (especially NEC contracts);
• Liaise with project team, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure efficient commercial management.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering / Construction Management or related disciplines;

• Minimum 8 years’ relevant QS experience in large-scale civil engineering / infrastructure projects;

• Solid experience in NEC contracts (Option C preferred / mandatory);

• Strong experience in:

  • Re-measurement & cost valuation
  • Variation / claim assessment
  • Subcontract management & final account
  • Cost control & contract administration

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and commercial negotiation skills;

• Good team player with proactive attitude and strong sense of responsibility;

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;

• Proficiency in MS Office; experience in SAP / ERP systems is an advantage.
