Working Environment & Projects

You will join a commercial team working across a portfolio of commercial and education projects, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle from procurement and subcontractor management through to final account.

This is a genuinely supportive environment, particularly suited to professionals moving from a consultancy or PQS background who want to build more practical, contractor-side experience without being thrown in without support. You will work closely with experienced site and commercial teams, with clear mentoring along the way.

Projects are based across Dublin and the eastern seaboard, offering manageable site travel while still providing exposure to a variety of interesting, technically engaging commercial and education-sector builds.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial function on live projects from procurement through to final account
• Prepare interim valuations, cost reports and cash flow forecasts
• Manage subcontractor procurement, packages and accounts
• Support the preparation and agreement of variations and change control
• Liaise with clients, design teams and subcontractors to ensure commercial matters are managed effectively
• Assist with the preparation of cost plans and budgets at project outset
• Support senior commercial team members on larger or more complex projects
• Contribute to the accurate reporting of project performance and profitability

What You Need

• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Experience within a PQS, consultancy or main contracting environment
• Strong understanding of measurement, cost planning and commercial management
• Excellent numerical, analytical and communication skills
• A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to build site-based experience
• Full clean driving licence
• Based in or commutable to Dublin
